How to collect event photos together: a practical guide.
Birthdays, summer parties and company events produce great photos on many different phones. A shared album helps bring those perspectives together. A few clear guidelines tell guests how to join and what happens to their photos.
Before the event: choose the date, time zone and storage
Choose the actual event date and the time zone of the venue. The storage period starts at midnight there. Consider how many people will contribute and the size of their files. Plans range from 5 GB to custom storage up to 1,000 GB. Storage usage, including thumbnails, determines capacity rather than a fixed number of photos.
Invite guests without another account
After booking, share the guest link. Guests need no app or account, just a browser. Include a short explanation of which photos to share, who has access and when the album expires. Anyone with the link can view and download the photos. For sensitive internal company images, consider whether this access model is appropriate for your purpose.
Design a QR flyer for your guests
Create a QR flyer inside your album using templates, your own text and colours. Download a PDF in A4, A5 or A6 and print it for your tables. The QR code opens the private guest link. If you renew that link, you must also create new flyers.
During the event: manage uploads
From the event date, guests can upload JPG, PNG and WebP photos. Each photo is limited to 50 MB and 25 megapixels. MP4, MOV and WebM videos can be up to 500 MB per file. Select multiple photos and videos together; files are transferred one after another. Keep the tab open during upload. Uploads remain available throughout the booked storage period: normally 30 calendar days from the event date, or longer if extended. Uploads close when that period ends. As organiser, you can pause uploads, remove individual photos or renew the invitation link. Renewing the link invalidates old links, so remember to share the replacement with your guests.
When storage runs low
In your signed-in album, choose a larger plan with “More storage”. “Custom storage upgrade” opens the slider for a total of 100 to 1,000 GB in 10-GB steps; the new size must exceed your current capacity. The one-time upgrade price is shown before payment. Upgrades and extensions can be booked until one hour before expiry; payment must be confirmed in time. You pay the plan price difference, including the difference for extensions already purchased, without prorating. Existing photos, videos and the guest link stay in place. Increasing storage does not automatically extend the storage period.
After the event: set a reminder to save photos
Note the expiry date and download the photos you want to keep in time. The standard period is 30 calendar days from the event date. Additional 30-day extensions are available for a fee. After expiry, the gallery and guest access close. Photos and videos are archived in a ZIP. Individual originals and thumbnails are deleted from storage only after verified archiving. The ZIP is available only in the organiser account until 30 calendar days after the booked storage period ends, not 30 days after the archive is created. The ZIP is then permanently deleted too. Treat Picunora as a temporary event album and keep your own backup of important memories.
